SCOUL Sports Centre for Excellence

Catalysed by the increasing grass-roots level participation in sports such as football, athletics, baseball and cricket, the demand for top-level facilities in Uganda has never been higher. This is combined with interest from European and UK football teams in setting up international academies for the development of the sport, provides the economic driving force for new sports infrastructure.

Currently progressing in phases, this new sports centre for excellence combines international FIFA standard soccer training facilities with athletics, cricket, and baseball. The masterplan comprises a training academy, 2400 seat stadium, and cricket ground with pavilion, alongside both natural turf and synthetic playing surfaces. The sports elements are linked to the company’s upgrading and extension of the 18-hole golf course on site, with a future phase of resort accommodation and indoor sports.

The project demonstrates our breadth of expertise by bringing together architectural design and planning, with design-led strategic development, and in-depth knowledge of sports infrastructure.
