Hemstock Design
We are a design and consultancy company covering all types of outdoor sports projects, golf course architecture and landscaping projects, UK and internationally.
We are ‘one-stop’ taking projects from the early inception stage, through technical appraisal and financial feasibility, into design and obtaining planning consent, funding support, specifications and tendering, and into the construction and aftercare stages.
David Hemstock is an Agronomist, Soil & Water Engineer, Golf Course Architect, experienced planning & landscaping consultant with over 35 years working on a wide range of projects, from local golf and sports to international tournaments.
Dr Ollie Hemstock has worked on golf and sports projects for over 15 years, focussing on strategic design aspects, planning and buildings design projects, internationally. He has a PhD in Strategic Design, with several years’ experience with architectural practices.
We have a supporting team of experts in hydrology, planning, ecology, landscape design, project financial assessment/marketing, grass and synthetic pitch construction management and maintenance.

Director & Founder
David has over 30 years experience in golf, sports and master-planning design projects world-wide, combining creativity with a cutting-edge technical basis, integrity, and an in-depth understanding of the financial background that drives every project.
An award-winning golf course designer, he has also used his generic expertise at the highest levels in sports; the Commonwealth Games, Olympics, Cricket World Cup, international and premiership-level soccer & rugby.

Director, Strategic Design Consultant
Ollie has a professional background in architectural design. In-depth experience of mixed-use, retail and residential development, and large-scale planning. He recently concluded a four-year doctoral research project focussing on the strategic value of design.
