The English FA National Football Centre

Quality control monitoring of the construction of the new national soccer academy for the English FA, now known as St George’s Park, was carried out over the construction period, ensuring that the essential elements of drainage and rootzone mix, irrigation and under-soil heating were installed correctly.

During his 11 years with the Sports Turf Research Institute, David Hemstock worked on over 50 projects involving the FA, Sport England, The Greek Olympic Properties Organisation, RFU Twickenham and soccer projects to Premiership/Championship level, and also several high profile golf projects.

Quality control monitoring of the construction of the new national soccer academy for the English FA, now known as St George’s Park, was carried out over the construction period, ensuring that the essential elements of drainage and rootzone mix, irrigation and under-soil heating were installed correctly.

David was subsequently involved in the concept design work for a golf short-course at the site.
