The Hong Kong Jockey Club

Hemstock Design were commissioned by the HKJC with colleague Les Watts to assess the potential for an additional daily-fee golf course to the existing 18-hole Player layout.

The idea was to increase use of the island by adding overnight accommodation for those travelling over from the main island and beyond, whilst giving scope for two golf courses to extend the variety of play over a two day stay.

An complex analysis of layout options, earthworks calculations and visual assessments formed the basis of the work done. An additional layout for golf and resort accommodation was completed, with perspective views by the Club.
